August 2005: The Latin Dance Palace
web site was created to advertise and promote a new dancing
venue in Pittsburgh, PA. The site provided details
about special events, guest DJs and musicians, etc. The
web site featured custom designed text and original
artwork (silhouette of dancers), which I created
using Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop. The Latin Dance Palace has closed its doors, and I'm now hosting the web site as a sample of my web design work.

Program: Improves Reading Comprehension |
1st Site Redesign: January 2005: The
AccomplishOnline web site is a marketing tool for Accomplish
Reading Comprehension Software. I redesigned the web site
to make it easier to navigate and more
visually appealing. The new site features: custom
graphics for navigation, custom Style Sheets, digital photos,
promotional phrasing, and enhancements to the overall layout
and design. 2nd Site Redesign: August 2005.

2004: Bobby D hosts a Swing Dance at the Wightman
School in Pittsburgh, PA. every Saturday Night. He hired me
to redesign his existing web site and to take digital photos.
The new site features "Saddle Shoe" buttons for
site navigation, (adding to the "fun factor" for
visitors), and 5 new pages of digital photos, which are also
sprinkled throughout the site. |

to educate the public about how to join the National Marrow
Donor Program. The site describes the Marrow Registry, Eligibility
Requirements, and how to Locate a Marrow Drive or Donor Center
near you. This is one of my personal projects, and is currently
a "work in progress." I hope to fully develop the
site as time allows. |

Early Learning Institute |
June
2004: The Early Learning Institute discovered they
were in trouble when their hosting company went out of business,
and all of their web site's links stopped working! I completely
redesigned their web site, recreated the logo in Adobe Illustrator,
and got them established with a new hosting company. I also
created a digital photo gallery for the site.
Update Fall 2006: The Early Learning Institute received an offer to have their web site redesigned for free by a local firm. So, they are no longer using the web site that I created. I am now hosting my version of the web site as part of my portfolio web site. |

photographs that I've taken at a variety of events during
2003-2004. |

a clean, simple approach to his web site. As they say, the

Attack is a popular Pittsburgh blues band. While I was still
a student at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, I approached
the band about creating a site for them as a school project.
They heartily accepted my offer, and the rest, as they say,
is history! My duties as webmaster included: creating
and designing the original web site, maintaining and updating
the site and mailing list, creating an electronic monthly
newsletter, answering correspondence, and taking digital
photographs at events. I remained their webmaster until
May 2004.
