Agustin & Monica!
and Monica started dancing Salsa in 2001. They met
at a dance club, and not long after that became dance partners.
They have been teaching and performing together for over 2
years. They are the winners of two Pittsburgh Dance Competitions:
Dowe’s on 9th Salsa Competition, and Art and Style
Dance Studio Steel City Classic Salsa Dance Category Competition.
Each brings their own unique style to salsa, while complimenting
each other as dance partners.
is from Mexico and has lived in the Pittsburgh area for 7
years. He started dancing 5 years ago and hasn’t stopped
since! Monica is from the Pittsburgh area and credits her
ability to dance to her background in gymnastics. Agustin
and Monica have attended numerous Salsa Congresses all over
the United States for pleasure and educational purposes.
Agustin and Monica’s teaching and performing schedule
keeps them busy year round. They currently teach group classes
at Bally’s Fitness Club (South Hills), and have a facility
in Beechview for private lessons. You can also see them every
Saturday Night at the Latin Dance Palace beginning Saturday,
September 17, 2005. They will be teaching the dance lesson
from 9-9:30 PM., (*Except for the 2nd Saturday of each
month!) and will be performing dance exhibitions there
Agustin and Monica have taught all ages in the past, and are
also experienced choreographers. They have choreographed:
Wedding Dances, Sweet Sixteen Dances, Quinceañera
Dances, and their own unique performance routines.
